Fill 'er up

Friday night, fierce storms knocked out power to much of my region, including my apartment building.  Saturday afternoon, there was a run on fuel at the only operational gas station nearby, and since my tank was perilously low, I had no choice but to wait in a long line of vehicles.  It was brutally hot - in the high 90s - and I noticed at least two guys without shirts filling their tanks: one was a young, cocky-looking jock type, the other an older, slim daddy with a pickup truck.  Inspired, I shed my own shirt (after I was "safely" back in my car, of course) and drove home bare-chested; I even kept my shirt off (slung over my shoulder) as I walked into my building.  A small accomplishment, but an accomplishment nonetheless.
